The Citizens Foundation, one of the country’s largest education non-profits, has been using SABAQ’s digital learning content in its schools since 2017. After observing learning gains among students after the introduction of SABAQ’s content in its classrooms, TCF scaled up SABAQ’s solution from 30 schools in 2017 to 349 schools in 2018. These schools are based in the provinces of Punjab and Sindh, in the cities of Karachi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Narowal, and Kasur. The content is being used by 45,000 learners across KG to Grade 3. Students can access the content either through tablets, with three to four students sharing one tablet to foster peer to peer learning; or on a large LED TV that is viewable by the whole class. In 2019, TCF is set to expand the availability of SABAQ to Grade 4 and 5 in the 349 schools.
